about LOVE

I consider LOVE. 

People who live in Japan are confused since a big earthquake. The tendency not to accept the idea different from oneself is increasing. 

LOVE which Plato defined "Eros." Although it is a form of the love to which it has been convinced as a child, it is felt in present me who grew up only as "narcissism." 

Now, I think that "agape" is required for us. 

Coexistence with the others who are certainly different from themselves only by holding "agape (gratis love)" in the corner of the heart becomes easy. 

いまこそ愛について考える。

大地震以来、日本に暮らす人々の多くは混乱していて、自分たちと違う考えを認めない傾向が高まっている。

プラトンの定義した愛のかたち「エロース」。『饗宴』を読んだ子ども時代には納得したものだけど、大人になったわたしにはただの「自己愛」としか感じられない。

いま、わたしたちに必要な愛は「アガペー（無償の愛）」だと思う。キリスト教徒ではないけれど、「アガペー」を心の片隅に抱いておくだけで、自分とは確実に違う「他者」との共存が楽になるはず。他者なくして、自己は成立しえないのだから。
